PayEG is an Egyptian platform for paying bills, topping up mobile credit, and managing e-wallet transactions. This notice explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1. Data We Collect

  • Account data: name, email, mobile number, hashed password.
  • Transaction data: service type (top-up, bill, installment), the target account/subscription number (e.g. electricity meter or phone number), amount, date, and payment status.
  • Payment data: we do not store card numbers. Cards are processed directly by CBE-licensed gateways (Kashier, Fawry, OPay).
  • Wallet data: your PayEG wallet balance and top-up/spend history.
  • Technical data: IP, device type, error logs — for security and fraud prevention.

2. How We Use It

  • To execute the top-up, bill, or installment payment you request.
  • To issue receipts and maintain a transaction history in your account.
  • To comply with anti-money-laundering (KYC/AML) requirements.
  • To improve the service, provide support, and respond to inquiries.

3. Who We Share With

We never sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with:

  • Payment gateways: Kashier, Fawry, OPay to move funds.
  • End-service providers: telecoms (Vodafone, Etisalat, Orange, WE), electricity/gas/water utilities, installment providers (ValU, Aman, Souhoola, contact), and home-internet ISPs — only with the data required to execute the service (subscription number and amount).
  • The Central Bank of Egypt and other regulators when legally required.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers to run the platform securely.

4. Retention

  • Financial transaction records: at least 5 years to comply with CBE regulations.
  • Account data: while the account is active + 12 months.
  • Technical logs: up to 90 days.

5. Security

We use TLS for all traffic, strong password hashing, and least-privilege access. All card payments go through PCI-DSS compliant gateways.

6. Your Rights

  • Access your data and request a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request account deletion (subject to statutory retention of transaction records).
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent.
